Xbox Games Showcase Thoughts and Trailers

Our Thoughts on the Showcase

Well, now that the dust has settled on the Xbox Games Showcase let’s discuss what was on offer and what we’re our picks from it.

We all knew Halo was going to open it, considering how much it had been marketed over the last week or so, there was no doubt it would open the show. Personally, I’ve never really been into the Halo games, I played through the Master Chief Collection and Halo 5, but it wasn’t really my type of shooter. Not sure why, nothing really clicked with me. I will try Halo Infinite when it comes out especially as it is going to be part of Games Pass.

Some BIG news came out from Bungie in that they are partnering with Xbox to bring Destiny 2 to Games Pass with all the expansions and even in December, Beyond Light will launch and be part of the Games Pass subscription. That was one of the jaw dropping moments for me, didn’t expect that kind of deal to be made, and kudos to both Xbox and Bungie on bringing that to Games Pass. The service that just keeps giving.

Now the next thing that got a massive whoop from me was that finally Fable has been announced. After loads of rumours that Playground were working on it, its finally out there, no release date, but at least we know it’s there.

Crossfire X looks to be a very good shooter, and I liked the look of Avowed as well. I do like my fantasy RPG type games, so this one stuck out to me.

STALKER 2 had another excellent trailer which tickled my fancy and The Medium freaked the bejesus out of me. State of Decay 3 was a game I wasn’t expecting so that was a nice surprise.

What I loved about all the games that were shown today was that they are all going to be included in the Xbox Games Pass program, so if you’ve got a subscription, you will be able to play them day one!

Ive embedded the playlist below with all the trailers seen today so watch away and enjoy!
